I grew tired of new expansions always adding content when all I really wanted to do was to continue exploring Old Norrath. It would warm my heart again to walk through Qeynos or Kelethin or Neriak and see them full of people chatting, questing, buying and selling, or to return to Blackburrow or Crushbone and join groups to kill gnolls or orcs and flee from incoming trains. |

| 1119. | WC | I've been looking for a good reason to go back to EQ1 since I got my station access account but the low lvl populations on the servers nowadays make it a tough sell. And this whole 51/50 server doesn't cut it either, Oh I can skip straight to lvl 51 with no effort or skill necessary?? Give me a break! sounds like something WOW fans would want but EQ Fans? I'm shocked!! LOL
Anyway please give us a classic server or even a normal progression server. Honestly I'd take either one, I just want a server where I can start fresh with a new toon where I know there will be others to play with. |
| 1117. | PL | This game had thrill.. It was the only game in history to actually scare the shit out of me.. I played a rogue from the very begining of this game, it was HARD AS HELL, hard enough to make me quit and rally the whole server to give away my items to friends before i left.. I didnt even get to fight Vox or Nag due to the frustrations I had with the rogue class and all the things that were broken with it. Months after I quit, they fixed a lot and made it more balanced, and I came back, but as a Mage that time. I had SOOOOO much fun, EVEN in the lower lvls of game play. The only thing I would add or alter to the original version to make it PERFECT - more group functions.. It was highly frustrating being online for 6 hrs LOOKING for a party just for a little bit of exp. Trains were scary, but HYSTARICAL watching people try to save themselves - even if it wasnt my train it was apart of the intensity of the game.. NO game out there offers this.. Perhaps it needs to come back, and left alone! |

The only other side thing is that I would love to see The Sleeper unkillable at least for the first few months the server is up after Velious. I would have liked to have gotten a chance to see that zone/mob. |

| 1112. | CF | Everquest was an amazing experience, a world where things did not come cheap and easy, but where the sum of your efforts always felt rewarded by a sense of adventure, rather than a "do stuff, get loot" relation. The feeling there is a vast, beautiful yet dangerous world one must survive and conquer is one i find lacking in recent MMOs sadly. |
| 1111. | DF | It is my personal opinion that nothing will ever be able to compare to the classic eq experience up to Velious. I dropped six years of my life into that game, but the first three were definitely the best, filled with many great memories of challenges, friendships, plenty of item camping, and the ever-useful Epic Weapon Quests.
I would pay for a TRUE Classic EQ server in a heartbeat (none of that progression server nonsense, they still use the updated rules and client.) Bring back 1999-era EQ! |
| 1110. | AH | I started playing EQ on Innoruuk server when my dad bought it the day it was released in 1999 (I was only 10). I stopped around 02-03 but I definitely miss what that game once was. If a classic EQ server came out I'd definitely play that over WoW any day. :) |
